We are MUSIC Boosters - We support both Band and Choir activities in all Big Walnut Schools!

If you have a student in a Music Program at Big Walnut - We need you!

The Big Walnut Middle School Band Program is an exciting, growing program. 
Open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, the bands play appropriately
challenging music and learn to play in a large group and small ensembles.

Big Walnut Music Boosters

 Support Excellence!

 A HUGE THANK YOU to the anonymous donor who saved the BW Music Program for the 2010-11 year!!!!! 

An anonymous donor has decided to provide $400,000 to save the district’s music program for this year. $313,000 will be used to cover salary/benefits for the music program staff and $87,000 will be used for music and educationally related materials, supplies, and human resources.  This is an amazing gesture and will save the music program for this year.  Please note that other programs were not affected and that this is only for this year - PLEASE FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE OF OUR DONOR'S GENEROSITY AND VOTE FOR THE LEVY IN NOVEMBER TO KEEP THE EXCELLENCE GOING!!!

NEW: Marching season volunteers wanted!

We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:

Uniform room pick up/return for the following Away games - Sept. 24, Oct. 4, 15, 22 - This involves being at the band room 15 minutes before students' report time to monitor the uniform pick up and then coming back near the end of the game to monitor uniform return.

Hospitality Tent help for the following Home games- Sept. 17, Oct. 8 and Oct. 29 - This involves helping set up the tent near the end zone before the game, being there during the 3rd quarter and taking down the tent during the 4th quarter.

Equipment bus drivers (will train - no CDL license required) and pit equipment trailer drivers.

The Big Walnut Music and Marching Boosters is a group of dedicated parents, relatives, and friends of all students involved in the Big Walnut Music Department.

We are a force of parent volunteers to support fund raising and other activities for all BW music programs and the students involved.

We meet at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at the Big Walnut High School Band Room.  All are welcome!

THE KROGER REWARDS PROGRAM IS NOW AN ANNUAL PROGRAM - IF YOU ARE ALREADY PART OF THIS PROGRAM YOU NEED TO RE-REGISTER SO NOT TO LOSE REWARDS!!!
How to renew:
 
Log onto www.krogercommunityrewards.com and click on the box for "Ohio"
 
Under "Giving Back to Our Communities" click on the words "re enroll"
 
Select our organization which is  80182 - Big Walnut Music & Marching Boosters
 
Click the Save key and you're done.

 

The Kroger Community Rewards Program

The Big Walnut Music & Marching Boosters have partnered with the Kroger Company to help you raise money for your student’s band and/or choir expenses.  When you register your Kroger Plus card in the Community Rewards Program, Kroger will pay us 5% of what our members spend each month and your portion will go directly into your BWHS student’s account. That money can be used for trips or other expenses related to participation in the Big Walnut music program.

Here’s how it works:

• Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com and be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy.
• To select our organization, use our member number of 80182 or you can search by putting in Big Walnut Music Boosters
• After you register, send an email to Doian Stayton, Booster Treasurer at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it letting her know you’ve completed the registration and include the student’s name you want the money to be credited to.
• You must swipe your registered Kroger Plus card every time you shop in order for your purchases to count towards the rewards.
• Kroger will send the Boosters a check each quarter along with a statement showing how much was earned by each Plus Card.
• The Boosters will credit each student’s account appropriately and send periodic emails advising you of your student’s account balance.
