SUNBURY SQUARE MEMORIAL DAY FLEA MARKET — 2017 VENDOR CONTRACT
Upon signing and returning the attached reservation form to the appropriate sponsoring organization, the vendor
acknowledges responsibility to the Village of Sunbury for any and all damages to the square as a direct result of
the negligence of the vendor. The Village of Sunbury and the Big Walnut Music Boosters are not responsible for
theft, loss, damages, or bodily injury to the vendor or employees of vendor. By signing the attached agreement,
the vendor accepts and acknowledges all rules and regulations stipulated below:
1. The vendor agrees to pay $45.00 per space (approx.15’ x 18’) situated on the lawn with sidewalk access for our
patrons to walk on. Trees, lampposts and other obstructions may be included within the space and cannot be
removed. All vehicles, tents, displays, and sales must be contained within vendor’s purchased space(s).
Plan ahead: if it won’t fit, purchase additional space. The vendor must supply his/her own tables and chairs.
2. The vendor understands that reservation of spaces is on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. Your
reservation will be guaranteed if payment is enclosed with a signed reservation form until all available spaces
have been reserved. With the change in spaces we only have 140 vendor spaces to fill. We anticipate a sell out.
3. Vendor parking of the lawn spaces will begin at 5:00 a.m. on the morning of the flea market. Entrance to the
Square is on Cherry St. and Vernon St. Volunteers will check you in and assist you with parking. Reservations will
be held until 6:30 a.m. Remaining spaces will be sold to those vendors on the waiting list. There will be no early set
up prior to 5am. Due to the changes in how we have to situate the spaces, this years’ set up will be very different from
previous years. Anyone who sets up without our volunteer’s directing you to your spot will be asked to move. Gates
will open to the public at 7:00 a.m. All sales conclude at 5:00 p.m. and all vendors must leave the square area no
later than 7 p.m. on the date of the event. Driving on the Square will not be permitted before 4 p.m. unless directed
by the show organizer. Late arrivals Monday (after 6:30 a.m.), and early departures (before 4 p.m.) will be asked
to carry their display items/inventory on and off the Square, no car movement will be permitted. This request is
made to ensure a quality sale all day for our customers who pay money to enter the Square and for everyone’s
safety.
4. No vehicles weighing over 3/4 ton will be parked on the lawn area of the Square. However, parking on the
grass is at the organizer’s discretion. Heavy rain may render portions of the lawn closed to vehicles.
5. Electricity & water hook-ups are NOT available.
6. The Vendor agrees that there will be no distribution of literature without prior approval of the sponsoring
organization.
7. The sale of firearms, live ammunition, live animals, pornographic materials, palm reading, or any game
of chance is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
8. The vendor is responsible for removal of his/her trash from the premises. No bags or containers are to be left on
the premises. A dumpster is provided.
9. ABSOLUTELY NO CHEMICALS MAY BE USED OR SOLD FOR USE ON THE PREMISES OF
THE SQUARE.
10. Refunds are guaranteed only up to 15 days prior to the date of the flea market (May 14th). NO REFUNDS will
be given due to weather conditions.
11. All Registrations must be Post Marked by Monday May 22nd. After that date you must pay the day of the
sale at the increased price of $55 per space.
